A room full of art

School starts at seven in the morning and for me that is hell. We have to go through that every Monday to Wednesday. I can't even imagine if i will survive almost twelve hours of staying at the University. Specially I have to travel an hour and thirty minutes to reach UST and to reach home. For me it was very tiring. But that tiredness is not just pure tiredness. It is a kind of tiredness that I enjoyed. Specially with Trends, Networks and Critical Thinking course, it is the course that I enjoyed the most. I remember the fist time Sir. Robles entered the room. We don't know who to expect and what to expect. But here we are, being introduced to an alumni of the University, sharing his critical thoughts about Batman: The Dark Knight. That gets my attention. Why? Because I love movies and we have the same thoughts about The Dark Knight. Finally, I say to myself. A Professor who can appreciate and understand movies just like me. And it didn't disappoint.

In our class there is an activity that we are required to post a blog here in blogpost. One time he requires us to make a Film Analysis about Guillermo Del Toro's Pan's Labyrinth. For me, that was the best activity I ever had in my life as an Senior High School Student. I love analyzing film. I love criticizing it. I just love film, and this professor introduced this film to us in a critical manner that it reflects our society. It reflects the current situation that we have. Now here's a fact, I've seen Pan's Labyrinth before but didn't understand it. However after watching it again with an open mind and analyzing it critically just like our Professor thought us, I now managed to understand what the message or the director is trying to say. That the movie is very meaningful and it reflects our daily lives. It reflects our imagination as a children and how we lost it while growing up.

That's why I considered this movie as an art. I considered movies as an art. And that's why I considered this subject as an art. My perspective in TNCT is that this course is not a regular course that I'm taking every Monday to Wednesday. This course is an art course. TNCT is an art. Just like movies. And I will never get tired of learning from and about it. I'll never stop learning. And because of TNCT, I have learned to think critically. And because of that, I'll use it as a way to improve myself as a Film Critique. This art course gave me big opportunity to improve myself. I will not waste it.
